The Athletes Connected pilot project, funded by an NCAA Innovations in Research and Practice Grant, is a collaboration between the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Depression Center, and Athletic Department to develop and evaluate a multi-faceted program to increase awareness of mental health issues, reduce the stigma of help-seeking, and promote positive coping skills among student athletes.

Y6 Pupils have been Learning how to be Safe and Considerate Citizens of London. Yesterday the whole of year 6 took an excursion down to Sydenham Hill to participate in the Junior Citizenship Scheme run by Southwark and TFL. The Fire Service briefed us on the importance of well-maintained smoke alarms, and what to do in the event one sounds in our home. We considered how to behave on buses and tubes in order to be safe, comfortable and considerate of other users.

Things are not going to get any better. Loving someone is one thing. Wanting to help someone you love is understandable but it takes more than love sometimes. I respect a love that strong but I think she just did more harm than good.
